The National Representative Council of Eritrea- (Government-In-Exile) calls for an
immediate cessation of hostilities, and peace negotiations must begin without further
delay.
The ongoing war in Sudan will devastate the people and the Horn of Africa. It will
seriously affect the influx of refugees and the internally displaced. It will shatter the
Sudanese economy, which saw the fastest growth in Africa over the last decade. The
conflict has the potential to spill to neighboring countries. Moreover, it could increase violence
and internal displacements, which could overwhelm humanitarian responses.
